- Abstract
- An analysis is given of the incubation studies described in the preceding paper (Part I), which featured over 15,000 measurements. The projected life expectancy at room temperature of different safety cellulose ester base films was quite similar. A nitrate base film also had a projected life similar to that of several cellulose triacetate base films. Film life was dramatically increased when the relative humidity (RH) was lowered below 50%. The improvement in stability offered by lower storage temperature was similar for different materials. The beneficial effects of low humidity and low temperature were additive.
