Details
French-language CST recommendation on sound/picture sync in cinema auditoriums, validated 10 September 2011. Defines how to measure perceived sync (at 2/3 of the screen-to-last-row distance, with a flash and 1 kHz beep test pattern) and the tolerances: sound early 0 to −1 frame, sound late 0 to +2 frames; perception threshold ±½ frame. An annex advises adjusting sync in the audio processor rather than the server.
