- Sustained Plasmatic Ionic Light, SPIL, is the first light source formulated to produce spectral energy content which matches the spectral response thresholds of electronic scan and CCD target cameras. SPIL Is a refined photoluminesence light source which maintains a high radiation flux density, has a stability which is equal to the finest incandescent light sources, and can be formulated to produce little or no ultra-violet or infrared spectral emissions. SPIL offers the first technological replacement for incandescent light sources that can contribute enhancement to television production as well as practical operational costs.
