Abstract: It has been necessary in the past to control the color balance and exposure of 16-mm duplicating printers by making actual test prints at frequent intervals. A large amount of footage could be risked during the time required for processing the test prints. A method is described by which it is possible to check the balance of the printer instantly by means of tricolor readings with a photronic cell.
