Wes Simpson
bio
Wes Simpson is president and founder of Telecom Product Consulting, an independent consulting firm that focuses on helping companies develop and market video and telecommunications products. He is a frequent speaker and analyst for the video transport marketplace. He is author of the well-received books “Video Over IP” and “IPTV and Internet Video” from Focal Press. Simpson has 28 years experience in the design, development, and marketing of products for telecommunication applications. Before founding Telecom Product Consulting, he was COO of VBrick Systems, Inc., a manufacturer of MPEG video equipment. Earlier, at ADC Telecommunications, Simpson was the director of product management for the DV6000, a market leading video transport system. He was a founding member of the Video Services Forum and a member of its board of directors from 1997 to 2001. He holds a BSEE from Clarkson University and an MBA from the University of Rochester.
Howard Greenfield
bio
Howard Greenfield is president of Go Associates, a global consulting firm helping companies bring technology to market. Greenfield has held senior management and consulting positions with Sun Microsystems, Informix Software, British Telecom, and Apple, Inc., and was responsible for creating and leading Sun's first Media Lab. In addition to collaborative development engagements with large organizations like Xerox PARC, Ericsson, and the American Film Institute, he has held leadership roles in numerous early stage companies. These include positions with start-ups in online video editing, content management, streaming, and advertising. Three were subsequently acquired by Ariba, IBM, and Microsoft.
Steve Storozum
bio
Steve Storozum has more than 30 years of experience developing and marketing telecom products and services. He earned an A.B. in physics from Washington University, St. Louis, an M.S.E.E. from Carnegie Mellon University, and pursued a Ph.D. in electrical engineering at Virginia Tech. He is currently with Level 3 Communications where he supports the system engineering needs of clients in Media and Entertainment markets. Storozum previously worked in marketing, business development, and engineering at telecom/datacom/video equipment and software suppliers. He has also contributed to television, data, and digital cinema standards through SMPTE and IEEE and is a former president and current board member of the Video Services Forum, a video transport industry organization. Storozum has presented numerous talks at industry conferences and has contributed articles on datacom, video, and optical communications to various publications and websites.
