Abstract: The Awards Presentation, an annual event traditionally taking place following the Get Together Luncheon on Monday of Conference Week, was observed on 29 September with President Kenneth M. Mason presenting the awards listed below to the recipients or their representatives. An especially impressive moment in the Awards Presentation ceremony was the posthumous recognition of the work of Lloyd Thompson, a pioneer in the 16mm and 8mm field by the presentation of the John Grierson International Technical Award, accepted by Mrs. Thompson. Fourteen newly elected Fellows of the Society received certificates from President Mason. The Award citations and brief biographies of the recipients appear below.
