Abstract: A report is presented here on an investigation made to determine if a set of normalized data representative of all quartz-iodine lamps could be obtained for the use of optical designers. Among the factors discussed are filament temperature, luminance and size, color temperature, lamp life and significant applications of the data developed in the study.
