- Abstract
- Commercial videotape recording was introduced 30 years ago. It is nearly 50 years since James Logie Baird first proposed recording video to disc, and Boris Rtcheuoloff envisioned magnetic recording of the video image. This article discusses the evolution of video recording from its experimental beginnings to its contemporary methods and applications.
