- Abstract
- A newly developed 30-mm Saticon pickup tube is described. The tube (BC4398) has reduced lag, higher resolution, and enhanced registration as a result of a reduction in the scanning angle. A target connection through the faceplate assures a very low shunt-capacitance coupling. In addition, the tube has provision for internal tube bias lighting. The various features result in a pickup tube that is useful for tele-production cameras and other demanding uses, including highest quality broadcast cameras.
