Mark Turits is vice president, captioning and video description for the CBS Television Network division of the CBS Corporation. He joined CBS in 1996. From 1988 to 1996 he was manager, captioning at the ABC Television Network division of the Disney/ABC Television Group; and from 1987 to 1988 was production manager at the former part-ABC owned Worldwide Television News Corporation (WTN). He has a B.F.A. from The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art. A SMPTE member, Turits is also a member of the SMPTE Television and Broadband Media (24TB), Broadband Content Captioning ad hoc group (AHG).
