Abstract: The Association of Radio Industries and Businesses (ARIB) was established to drive research and development (R&D) of new radio systems, and to serve as a Standards Development Organization (SDO) for international unification of standards, etc. in the field of telecommunications and broadcasting. The establishment was also aimed to respond quickly and accurately to such trends as the growing internationalization, the convergence of telecommunications and broadcasting, and the need for promoting the business using radio waves.
