Abstract: The Society for Information Display (SID) encourages and promotes displays, and display related science and technology, including the business of displays and display related fields. SID operates in three major regions namely, Americas, Asia and Europe. To fulfill the purpose of the Society, SID organizes and sponsors conferences and Exhibits all over the world on displays and display related subjects. The leading conferences include: (1) SID's Annual Display Week, which comprises the main technical symposium and exhibit. (2) International Display Research Conference, which takes place in alternating years between Europe and Americas. (3) International Display Works (IDW), held annually in Japan with joint effort between SID and Institution of Television Engineers (ITE), Japan. (4) International Meeting on Information Display (IMID), which is jointly organized between SID and Korea Information Display Society (KIDS). (5) Asia Display, which is organized by SID's Chapters in Asia.
