Abstract: This contribution is part of a two-part series in which Part 1 presented a detailed description of the basics, problems and contradictions involved in the photometric description of camera systems. The development and manufacture of camera systems requires meaningful and exactly reproduceable reference parameters. During the design phase of the Alexa camera system, the image analysis and QC department at Arnold & Richter developed a new procedure for comparing professional still and motion picture camera systems. This second part describes, in detail, those measurement techniques developed to present camera performance data more clearly.

Hans Kiening has worked at Arri in the R&D department since 1996, specializing in the field of image analysis. From 2004 to 2005 he worked as R&D project manager of the Arriscan. Since 2010 Kiening has been head of Central Quality Management and Image Analysis for ARRI .
