- Abstract
- The marketplace acceptance of component television and high-fidelity video cassette recorders signals a significant consumer interest in high quality audio for television. Unfortunately, many of the video tape recorders in present use are incapable of providing satisfactory audio reproduction due to a variety of inherent mechanical limitations.

Thomas J. Rosback was born in Elmhurst, Illinois in 1955. In 1977 he received a Bachelor of Science degree (Summa Cum Laude) in Electrical Engineering from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois. For the past eight years Tom has been involved in the electronic design of audio equipment for Harris Corporation in Quincy, Illinois. His principal areas of interest are psychoacoustics, signal processing, and digital audio. Tom is a member of Phi-Kappa-Phi and the IEEE.Thomas J. RosbackHarris Corporationbio
