Abstract
“Enterprise” defined and differentiated from “network” Enterprises are businesses established and operated by entrepreneurs to make money. (The English word derives from the French “entre-prendre.”) It is used in the computer industry to define business activities which require computer “networking” to make money (interconnection of mainframes, data bases and dumb, smart and intelligent terminals for the interchange of information between and among people)
