Abstract
Historically the video and computer industries have seen themselves as separate industries because of differences in technology, customer base, and the type of information that is being processed.…pictures versus numbers. Major technical and market trends occurring in both the video and computer industries suggest that these two industries started overlapping in the 80's, and that by the end of the 90's, there will be no separate video and computer industry.
