- Automation of various facets of television operations has existed for several years. However, a totally integrated system of television automation has been developed only recently.

bio
John T. Davis received a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, New Jersey, in 1964, and a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Florida in 1971. He worked for United Technologies Corporation from 1964 to 1972 as Senior Design Engineer, Project Engineer, and Field Engineer Manager. While employed by United Technologies Corporation, Mr. Davis, under a NASA contract, helped develop the environmental control system for the Apollo XI Project. Mr. Davis was employed by Vital Industries, Inc., a manufacturer of video equipment, from 1973 to 1980 as Director of Engineering, Systems Manager, Research and Development Manager, and Computer Department Manager. He has published several technical papers relating to video equipment and currently teaches an undergraduate course in computer information science at the University of Florida. - Copyright
