- Abstract
- It might help to explain the title if I told you that I once debated against the premise that “all fear stems from ignorance”. I lost, convinced that at least we are much more comfortable about things we know about. This paper is not very technical, and is intended to be of help to those who know what an oscilloscope is, but don't know where to stick the probe on a microprocessor. Relax, this won't hurt.

bio
Mr. Busby entered radio and television at an early age by obtaining a first class FCC ticket and a job at a local 250-watt radio station. During World War II, he served in the armed forces radio service in the Phillipines and Okinawa. During the Korean police action, he served as an intructor in the signal corps. Twenty-four years ago, after 14 years with WTAR-TV in Norfolk, Va., he joined the Ampex Corporation in Washington, D.C., as a field service engineer. For about the last 18 years he has designed various parts of video and audio tape recorders. He holds several patents, one of which, oddly enough, is purely optical. - Copyright
