Abstract
The digital frame buffer under computer control is a production tool of wide capabilities. Some of these are generally available in the television production field as “Digital Video Effects” CDVE) systems. However, an even greater spectrum of effects is possible if the buffer is tied to a general purpose computer and directed by user software.
