- The program I am going to show you is a part of a two-hour television program which has been produced with a hand-held color camera and one 1" portable VTR. This program, titled “Waves Surging Like Hopping Rabbits,” was produced for participation in the Japan Art Festival in the autumn of last year.

In 1951, Ichihiko Hishida graduated from Keio University in Tokyo, Japan, with a B.S.E.E. degree. A year later, Mr. Hishida joined the staff of Radio Tokyo, Inc. (now Tokyo Broadcasting System, Inc.). When Radio Tokyo opened its television station in 1956, Mr. Hishida was assigned the responsibility of installing the television equipment in the station. After this, he was appointed Manager of the Television Engineering Division.
