Abstract
The TK-76 Television News Gathering Camera as described at the ll7th SMPTE Technical Conference in Los Angeles in September 1975 is shown in Figure 1. It is a small, lightweight 0 single package camera requiring only the application of a nominal 12 volt battery to generate fully encoded color signals. Shown around the cameraman's waist is a battery belt which is considered the normal source of power for the portable, man-carried, application. Since September, the product design has been completed and the camera is now in its first production cycle.

A. H. Lind is Manager of New Products Engineering, Studio and Control Equipment, in the Broadcast Systems Division of RCA Corporation, Camden, New Jersey. He has been a member of RCA's Broadcast Engineering staff since 1946. He has been an Engineering Manager since 1951, responsible for several Engineering Groups and/or Sections. His engineering organizations have been responsible for the development and design of many broadcast studio products-cameras, TV tape recorders, projectors, switchers, and terminal equipment. Mr. Lind received a BSEE in 1946 and an MSEE in 1949, both from the University of Wisconsin. He is a Fellow of the SMPTE, a Senior Member of the IEEE, and a member of the Franklin Institute. He is also a member of Tau Beta Pi, Eta Kappa Nu, and Pi Mu Epsilon honorary societies. He has participated in many industry technical committees. President of IEEE Group on Broadcasting, 1971–72.
