Abstract: WAGA-TV wasn't the first station to become active in the Electronic Newsgathering field. However, with six months or so of varied experience under our belts this report may be of interest, especially to those who may be in a position similar to ours; that is - a combined transmitter/studio operation with a tall tower located five to seven miles from the points which generate maximum day-to-day news activities.

Mr. Bondy was born in New York City in 1908. Attended Pace Institute, Capital Radio Engineering Institute and Columbia University. Started with WNEW Radio in New York in 1936 and in 1942 joined OWI. 1942–45 with U.S. Army in Middle East and Physchological Warfare Branch, Allied Force Headquarters, as senior field engineer. Built several AM broadcast stations. Returned to Storer Broadcasting in 1951 as home office staff engineer. Presently Chief Engineer at WAGA, Atlanta. Life Member IEEE, Member AES, Member SBE, Fellow SMPTE.
