Abstract
Like all new technology deployments, the delivery of Video over IP presents its own, entirely new, set of challenges, of which many people are entirely un-aware. Because the delivery of e-mail and other data is assured, it is often presumed that video will also be delivered cleanly over an IP networks. The reality is that, video is reliant on constant rate lossless transmission and can display many different quality issues, including loss of video and in extreme, decoder lock ups, or failure to locate the correct channel.
