Abstract
This paper is an attempt to provide a framework to measure the informational changes brought about in a gamut conversion framework. We build our computations on relative error calculation, and entropy loss evaluation. We compare relative errors after pre-compensation methods, and entropy loss due to different transfer functions in the monodimensional case. The three-dimensional case is also addressed, and the resulting calculations are applied to a multidimensional quality vector, summarizing all the distortions undergone by image digitized content. Gamut conversion, color transformation, relative error, entropy, quality assessment, display, pre-compensation, OETF, EOTF
