The Kodak PreView System

Gary O'Brien has worked in the motion picture industry for more than 30 years. He started with Supreme Films as a production co-ordinator and later joined Channel 10, Sydney, as Laboratory Manager where he worked for 10 years. In 1984 Gary joined Kodak's Professional Motion Imaging division as an Account Manager. His responsibilities are primarily in the post production arena, including film laboratories, telecine houses, neg matching, effects houses and camera hire companies. Recent work with the exhibition side of the industry has included training sessions where he has lectured on the preservation of image quality for Village Location Technical Managers. He has also worked for many years with the National Film & Sound Archive providing technical consultation and support. Gary is an associate member of the Australian Cinematographers Society.
