- Abstract
- Live cloud production (LCP) is the production of live video events using virtualized processing on the cloud. It has several advantages over traditional, at-venue production, including ease and speed of launch, pay-as-you-go pricing, enablement of more and/or enhanced production, the ability to share streams with partners in the cloud, personnel quality of life enhancement, and carbon footprint reduction. This article describes these advantages and protocols for media transport with LCP, along with some real-world examples of LCP.
