Abstract
The intensity of reacttons of approximately 100 msec duration at various points in a jet stream depends upon the temperature and concentration of oxygen prevailing in these regions. High-speed photography is a powerful tool for studying these chemical reactions. The present note describes investigations on flash from W and NH propellants at camera speeds of 1500 and 3000 frames/sec.
