Abstract: The use of a subtractive color printer in a commercial laboratory is desirable, chiefly because of economic considerations, provided high standards of reliability are maintained. A scene-change system is described which uses a Geneva movement to turn a sprocket which then moves a color filter matte. The action transports the matte smoothly and reliably.
