Abstract: Industry-wide agreement on a standard method of measuring flutter in 35-mm motion picture sound film reproducers is now being sought by the motion picture industry through the Society of Motion Picture Engineers and the Research Council of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. The ultimate success of the project depends primarily upon industry acceptance of the basic standards.
