- Abstract
- This paper compares various methods of obtaining a series of reflected light photographs of projectiles penetrating metallic plates. Illumination for highspeed photography has been provided by the argon flash, photoflash lamps, flash powder, carbon arcs, incandescent sources, electronic flash and other means. The electronic flash generally has advantages over other methods. However, the shape of the light pulse is far from uniform. A method of shaping the pulse of light is described.
