Yoshio Fujiwara received B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Tohoku University in 1961. Since the late 60's he has been engaged in the development of a number of VTRs which include one-inch Type C VTRs and more recently the digital VTRs. Presently he is General Manager of Video Products Division of Communication Products Group. Kazuo Ike received the B.S. degree in 1968 and the M.S. degree in 1970 in Mechanical Engineering from Keio University. He joined Sony in 1970 and was involved in the development of the process technology for magnetic tape manufacturing until 1972. Since 1973 he has been engaged in the development and design of the various VTRs which include BVH-500 and 1000, type C one-inch VTRs. Takeo Eguchi joined Sony after graduating from Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology. where he received the B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering in 1967. Since 1978, he has been involved in Digital Video Recording Project in Sony and is presently the project Manager. He is a Fellow Member of the SMPTE and the Institute of Television Engineers of Japan. - Copyright
