Davies is Assistant Director of International Engineering at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation in Montreal, Canada, where he is responsible for technology planning and engineering liaison with external organizations. He is also Chairman of the SMPTE Working Group on Digital Video and of the sub-group on digital audio of the Working Group on Digital Television Tape Recording. He is a Fellow of SMPTE.

Marcel Auclair is Assistant Director of the Studio Systems Department at the Engineering Headquarters of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation in Montreal, Canada. He is responsible for equipment development, planning and installation for the radio and television studio throughout the Corporation. He is active in the Working Group on Digital Television Tape Recording.
