Abstract
An experimental stereoscopic television system with HDTV facilities has been developed for basic studies of a future broadcasting services. A short program was experimentally produced for an investigation of the fashion of producing the stereoscopic pictures. Some results of psychological effects of stereoscopic vision appear that a higher definition television system with a larger size screen is necessary for the system. A comparison of the conventional two-dimensional and stereoscopic pictures shows a superior picture quality for the stereoscopic television.
