Abstract: After describing the constructon of a unidirectonal microphone several desirable factors are discussed connected with the use of such a transmitter for recording sound in motion picture studios. Six illustrations show how the microphone may he used to advangate under specific set conditions, and four diagrams illustrate its use in recording various types of music.
