Abstract
An ultra-small lens system and lens barrel with an optical image stabilization function have been developed. The lens system has several lens groups, including a compensation lens unit. Shifting the compensation lens unit adjusts the optical axis to compensate for image fluctuation. The use of advanced technology to design the lens system made it possible to minimize aberrations during image stabilization. An image stabilization mechanism, along with the precise arrangement of Hall elements and magnets, is used to accurately position the compensation lens unit. The frequency response achieved with this mechanism is sufficient to compensate for image fluctuations while reducing the drive load.
