- Abstract
- Transistorized recorders have greatly reduced the requirements of camera drive power. A highly frequency-stable portable source of power has been developed. Batteries provide the power to drive a rotary inverter equipped with a centrifugal governor and a transistorized high-speed switching-type regulator. Output frequency is constant at 60 cps cps. Adequate power to drive cameras under adverse conditions can be relied upon. Prior to describing the system, current motor types and power sources are reviewed.
