Abstract: Air conditioning as now defined involves four basic elements. These are a definite controlled temperature, the maintenance of the desirable relative humidity, a predetermined rate of air movement, and air filtration. In a properly installed air-conditioning system these elements can be predetermined and independently controlled, but temperature, humidity, and air movement must be controlled with a definite relation one to the other.
