Abstract: Eyestrain, headaches, and fatigue are very real problems that need to be addressed, while creating good stereo imagery. Viewers are expected to perform eye gymnastics in order to watch some stereo presentations; for a short-format film, this can be tolerable, but for a full-length feature film, this is not acceptable. The left and right images need to be correctly aligned and color balanced in order to reduce these issues; shot to shot, the images need to flow, allowing the eyes to adjust over the cuts in a painless manner. Consequently, the DI suite becomes the place not only to make traditional color calls to satisfy the director's vision but also to quality-control the stereo images to make stereo-specific adjustments
