- This paper describes some of the difficulties the design team of Innovation TK (ITK) had to overcome to build a new high-definition telecine based on CRT flying spot technology. It also explains how some old problems in this field were resolved with new concepts.

David Corbitt , a SMPTE member, has been in the video post-production community since 1974. He is currently employed as a senior engineer at Thomas Electronics in Wayne, NJ. At the time of writing this paper, he worked for Innovation TK, Hertford, Herts., England, as a U.S.-based support and development engineer. Prior to that, he was director of telecine engineering at Manhattan Transfer. - Copyright
