Abstract: A 35mm motion-picture projector for use with the three-vidicon film camera for color television is described. The projector employs a modified Geneva intermittent that permits long application of light and nonlocked synchronous operation. The light source is an incandescent lamp. Compensation for variation in film density, without affecting color balance, is provided. The unique accommodation of 24-frames/sec film rate to the 30-frame television system makes the projector adaptable for all storage and semi-storage film pickup systems.
