Abstract: As an aid for many technicians involved in film and television production, the Samcine Mk II Calculator has been designed particularly to help film and television cameramen calculate depth of field, equivalent exposures, metric equivalent distances, film running times, picture width and height, lens angles and color-temperature compensation. A complementary paper by W. B. Pollard immediately following in this Journal describes the design and construction of the calculator and the mathematical relations involved.
