Abstract: A program has been developed to permit a minicomputer and a computer terminal to be used to generate timing tapes for additive color motion-picture film printers. Unlike conventional “hard-wired” tape generators, the computer system has a degree of flexibility that permits error correction during the timing process, permits previously cut timing tapes to be decoded rapidly, and permits the computer to be used for general calculations when not being employed as a timing device.
