Abstract: This device is designed to extinguish automatically fire originating in the projector or aperture head and to simultaneously cut off the motor. The latter action of course prevents further film being fed into the head. While extinguishing fire in the aperture head, Pyrene extinguishing liquid is sprayed into the upper and lower magazines in sufficient quantities to create an air dilution or atmosphere incapable of supporting combustion. With upper and lower magazines closed it is then impossible to ignite film contained therein.
