Abstract: This paper deals primarily with the need for improving the design of cameras and camera accessories. Existing photographic equipment is reviewed and the inefficiency of blimps and camera covers is stressed. The remedy for the situation evidently lies in the standardization of motors and the adoption of silent movement cameras. The paper closes with a summary of views on the matter by leading first-cameramen of the industry, and suggestions for changes in existing accessories, to be embodied in cameras for the future.
