Abstract: The Classes in Table 1/Y.1541 are intended to cover a broad range of applications for which the transport requirements are known. Examples of applications not covered by these classes are high-quality consumer television broadcast, distribution video, and contribution video, where very low loss and low network delay are essential. This Annex presents the results of current study on Internet Protocol (IP) network requirements necessary to deliver video services mentioned above. This work is based on input from providers and consumers (users) of video services and reviews specifications required to deliver the type of service that these users and providers would demand if the services were available today.
