bio
Brian Markwalter is vice president of research and standards for the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA). Markwalter is responsible for overseeing CEA's ANSI-accredited standards development operation and extensive market research capability. Under Markwalter's direction, CEA hosts more than 70 committees, subcommittees, and working groups that produce standards used in millions of consumer devices. CEA's market research has a rich 75-year history, producing objective research, tracking sales data and forecasting trends. These programs have resulted in three Technology Emmy awards for CEA standards and give CEA members free access to nearly $1 million in annual market research. Markwalter received a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in electrical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and is a licensed professional engineer. - Copyright
