Abstract: When magnetic soundtracks are edited and then reproduced for motion-picture re-recording or other purposes, the splices in the track frequently cause audible “pops” to be heard in the reproduced program material. Improperly erased magnetic film or tape is one of the causes of this noise which can be eliminated by use of an eraser which does not produce “spokes.”
