Abstract: A Kerr-cell framing camera hat been designed incorporating a multifaced prism which directs a portion of the energy collected by a primary objective lens through each of six separate Kerr-cell shutters. Separate images of the same event from the same aspect and through the same set of optics are thus possible. Using established triggering techniques, framing rates to 108/sec are achieved at exposure times in the range of 5 to 10,000 nanosec. Exposure time and resolution are independent of framing rate.
