- Abstract
- The development of camera tubes and channels having improved performance and stability makes possible a considerably simplified vision operating technique: the so-called “hands-off.” This leads to economy in operating costs as well as improvement in picture quality. The influence of this concept on camera channel design it illustrated by reference to an image-orthicon channel and a telecine vidicon channel; its implementation at several studio centers is briefly outlined.
