Abstract: A 200-foot reel and tray developing machine with multiple trays, motor driven reels, and manual reel transfer, is described. Fresh processing solution is used with every reel, the amount depending upon the footage of the reel. Difficulties encountered in development and construction are described, and the advantages evident in practice are given as one-man operation; solution economy; clean, energetic development, with linear exposure-density relation; uniformity of results with any quantity of film from 1 to 200 feet; no undue aerial or chemical fog; cleanliness; and flexibility in use or in extension to future developments.
